From 1 February 2014:
Eligibility and listing requirements will be easier to use through a single, satisfying web interface.
Qualified bluetooth products are still necessary, but this process will remain basically the same. Members can still inherit the eligibility status and results from the vendor for any bluetooth compatible part.
There will no longer be a design qualification and a qualified design fee id and result will no longer have design change discounts.
Each member must declare that for each product/pattern, part of the bluetooth specification is compliant, the compatible portion of the product is qualified and meets the compliance requirements. To this end, members publish a statement of the ID and the bill of payment. The same/constant bluetooth-compatible parts of the product/pattern may appear on the same list/declaration ID without additional cost.
Each statement ID will cost $4000. $00 for the association and promotion of members and members of $8000.
The bluetooth technology alliance will introduce a "innovation incentive plan" that will offer discounts to small and medium-sized businesses and start-ups. The program allows members to make less than $1 million (1000000. 00) annual revenue without prior listings (declaration, QDLs, or EPLs) of $2,500.
The configuration file adjustment suite (PTS) will be free to all members (formerly free only members and $7,500 to all other members). The points are a powerful, software-based test tool automation protocol and configuration interoperability testing.
The membership fee will not change. The prospective members enjoy a number of discounts that are not available to the adopters including 50% new listing fees and ability to participate in normative development.
